Offers programs to assist African-American, Latino, and other minority students in preparing for college education at Ohio State University. Provides a comprehensive pre-collegiate and collegiate program designed to enhance the academic, personal, and career development of its scholars. Founded in 1988, Young Scholars Program annually identifies and serves hundreds of academically talented first generation college students from economically-challenged backgrounds.

Eligibility
Serves students in 8th grade who attend schools in the Akron Public School District and meet the criteria listed below: - Maintain a minimum, unweighted grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 or above. Students with a 3.5 GPA or above are preferred. - Commiting to a college preparatory program in high school. - First generation college student. - Meet income guidelines. Call for details.
