GENERAL LEGAL AID | LEGAL AID OF THE BLUEGRASS

Provides attorneys who represent eligible clients in civil legal matters before judges and in administrative hearings. Also offers legal advice, makes referrals, and connects people with self-help materials and forms. Areas that Legal Aid can assist with include: protection and safety, housing, government benefits, money/debt, immigration, family, and life planning documents.

Application process

Contact the live intake line by phone or complete an online intake form at https://apply.lablaw.org/. Note: Calls are answered in the order they are received. Callers may be placed on hold for up to one hour. Individuals who have a pending court date in 3 days or less should call during intake hours for assistance.

Fee

There is no charge for the time spent on a case. If there are court costs, witness fees or other fees Legal Aid will incur to do a case, Legal Aid asks that clients pay them to the best of their ability

Eligibility

Open to residents of Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton counties who have a household income at or below 125%-200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
