Monday - Saturday: 10:00am to 4:00pm, by appointment only. - NOTE: The passport application process can take 20 to 60 minutes per applicant. More time may be needed for complex cases. Applicants may be asked to return at another time if the passport acceptance agent cannot complete their application prior to closing.

There are several different passport fees that may apply. Some fees are paid directly to the United States (U.S.) Department of State and others are paid directly to the Elyria Public Library System. Visit the website or call the library for details, including regarding acceptable methods of payment. - Adult Passport Book (age 16 and over): $130.00 - Adult Passport Card (age 16 and over): $30.00 - Minor Passport Book (age 15 and under): $100.00 - Minor Passport Card (age 15 and under): $15.00 - Acceptance/Execution Fee (for first-time applications): $35.00 (non-refundable). - Passport photos: An additional $10.00 (if needed).
