Head Start | Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency

Offers a comprehensive early childhood education program for children in economically disadvantaged families. The program includes kindergarten readiness learning experiences, speech, language, and hearing screenings, vision and dental checks, snacks and meals, and parent involvement opportunities. Children may attend a Head Start Center, or participate in a home-based option and receive weekly home visits.

Application process

Complete online pre-application. After submission, applicants will be contacted to schedule an intake appointment.

Eligibility

Open to children that are or will be ages 3 or 4 by August 1st of the upcoming school year. Participants must have a household income up to or less than 100% FPL. Children experiencing homelessness, children in foster care, and families who receive public assistance (TANF or SSI) are always eligible to enroll regardless of income.
