Qualified home buyers must show they have a need for housing, are willing to partner with Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity and are able to pay for a Habitat mortgage. Must reside or work in Geauga or Lake County for two (2) years before applying. Demonstrate current home is unsafe, crowded, too expensive, temporary, or has features that don't work. Must not have filed bankruptcy in the last two (2) years, a foreclosure in the last two (2) years with a remaining balance, or have an open judgment or tax lien. Must meet their income guidelines.
