Description
Offers a monthly, tax-free payment to Veterans who got sick or injured while serving in the military and to Veterans whose service made an existing condition worse. Veterans may qualify for VA disability benefits for physical conditions (like a chronic illness or injury) and mental health conditions (like PTSD) that developed before, during, or after service. The Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA) makes a determination about the severity of the disability based on the evidence submitted by the Veteran as part of their claim, or that VA obtains from military records. VA rates disability from 0% to 100% in 10% increments (e.g. 10%, 20%, 30% etc.).
