Offers adoption, foster care, and therapeutic foster care services for youth. Provides behavioral and mental health services for those within NYAP’s Foster Care programs. Also provides extensive training and support for fostering parents.

Application process
Generally, youth must be referred by a county agency. Interested agencies and families may phone the toll-free number for information 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week or call a regional office during service hours.
Fee
Foster care is generally paid for by the referring county agency. Parent training is free.
Eligibility
Foster care placement for youth up to 18 years old in Ohio. Focuses on serving youth who are abused, neglected, have behavioral issues, are physically disabled, have a mental illness and/or other problems. Foster family recruitment for adults age 21 and over in Ohio.

NATIONAL YOUTH ADVOCATE PROGRAM
Provides community-based non-residential services to youth and families involved with the juvenile justice, mental health, developmental disabilities, or children's services systems. Provides foster care and adoption services. Foster families working with this agency may receive mental health and substance abuse treatment, home-based services, case management, and emergency shelter care.
