INDIVIDUALS AND HOUSEHOLDS PROGRAM | FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
Provides financial assistance to eligible individuals and households affected by a disaster. Households may receive funding if they have serious needs and expenses that are related to lack of or inadequate insurance. Assistance may include funds for temporary housing, repair or replacement of homes, hazard mitigation assistance, etc.

Eligibility
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, or qualified non-citizens. Applicants must also reside in a state with an active major disaster declaration, and in a county that has been designated for Individual Assistance. Note: FEMA cannot assist with expenses that are covered by insurance.
