Eligibility
  • Serves residents of Medina, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Summit, Wayne, and Ashland counties.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Not available to people with a felonious assault or aggravated misdemeanor record.
  • Call the office or visit the website for other eligibility criteria.

  • Completed application.
  • Firearms training certificate.
  • Government-issued photo ID.
  • Self-addressed, stamped envelope.
  • 2" x 2" color head shot photo.
  • Payment.
  • Must bring evidence of military service and competency (DD214 or Active-Duty card) to qualify for fee waiver.

Monday - Friday: 8:00am to 11:00am and 1:00pm to 3:30pm, by appointment only.

  • Complete an appropriate firearms safety training course.
  • Complete the CCW Application Form.
  • Visit the website to schedule an appointment.
  • Permits processed in person by appointment only.
  • Appointments not accepted over the phone.
Fees
Fixed fee.
  • Fee waived for those who meet one of the following criteria: active or reserve member of the armed forces; a person who has retired from or was honorably discharged from military service in the active or armed forces.
