Deaf - Blind Services | Cleveland Sight Center

Provides individuals who are deaf and blind with the services necessary to achieve optimum independent functioning. A specialist working with alternative communications methods provides individual assessment, individualized treatment plan, and on-going evaluation and follow-up.

Application process

Phone for registration. An intake associate will take initial information and request copy of an eye exam report dated within the previous 6 months. After report is received, a caseworker will be assigned to facilitate service.

Fee

Sliding Scale - no one denied service because of inability to pay.

Eligibility

Must have an eye condition that limits functioning and have severe hearing loss. Serves Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and part of Medina County.
