Youth Education Program | Weekend Intervention Program, Inc.

Program provides information about the harmful effects of alcohol and other drugs and the high risk associated with continued underage use. This course is an alternative sentencing option for young adults who have experienced a non-driving alcohol- or drug-related arrest or students who have been sanctioned by their school.

Weekend Intervention Program, Inc.

The Weekend Intervention Program (WIP) offers residential based assessment and alcohol education to persons arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Persons in need of service may also volunteer for the program. The length of the program is a 48 or 72 hour weekend. WIP has a proven record for reducing recidivism and moving individuals with alcohol or other drug issues out of the legal system and into the treatment arena. Participants work closely with licensed professional staff who utilize state of the art motivational interviewing and intervention techniques that help individuals become more receptive to the resources and assistance available to them to address alcohol/drug issues.
