PERSONAL, SOCIAL, AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES | VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE SERVICES

Provides work adjustment training through facility-based work opportunities in assembly, packaging, cleaning or custodial. Individuals earn a wage while learning critical job behaviors of attendance, punctuality, work quality, productivity, staying on task, supervisor and co-worker interactions, and other worker traits. Program also helps individuals to develop and maintain functional skills used in adult living, including self-care, socialization, communications, leisure, perception, learning, and reasoning.

Application process

Phone for information. A referral is not required in order to walk in for a tour of the facility and an overview of the program during the above hours. Service by referral is suggested in order to cover fees. Such referrals are often made through the County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

Fee

Fixed fee, often third-party paid, or set fees paid by Medicaid for those who have Level One or Individual Option waiver. No cost to individuals.

Individuals with developmental disabilities (primarily adults) who are on the Level One or Individual Option Medicaid waiver or who are referred by the County Board of Developmental Disabilities
