Must be 60+ years old or have a documented medical condition (stating that an air conditioner/electric service will benefit the health of a household member). Gross total household income must be at or below 175% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Proof of income (pay stubs, letters from The Department of Job and Family Services, Social Security, or other supporting documents) for the 30 days preceding the date of application you must present income documentation at time of interview. OTHER DOCUMENTATION NEEDED INCLUDE: Social Security cards for all household members Proof of disability Both bills for main heating and electric utility source. Proof of address, photo ID for person who signs application, and documentation of co-payment if required. A lease or letter from landlord is required for all renters.
Mon-Fri 7:30am-4pm. Program is available from July 1 - September 30 each year.

The program provides assistance with Summer cooling (air conditioning and/or electric bill assistance) for elderly households that contain a member who is sixty years (60) or older, household with a member under age 60, households with a member who has medical condition (a prescription is required). PIPP customers are not eligible for electric help.
