Landlord/tenant Dispute Resolution | Legal Aid Of The Bluegrass

Provides assistance to tenants experiencing unsafe living conditions due to a landlord's failure to properly maintain their property. Also assists tenants who have been locked out or had their utilities turned off by their landlord in an effort to force the tenant out of the residence without a formal eviction.

Application process

Contact the live intake line by phone or complete an online intake form at https://apply.lablaw.org/. Note: Calls are answered in the order they are received. Callers may be placed on hold for up to one hour. Individuals who have a pending court date in 3 days or less should call during intake hours for assistance.

Fee

There is no charge for the time spent on a case. If there are court costs, witness fees, or other fees Legal Aid will incur to handle a case, Legal Aid asks that clients pay them to the best of their ability.

Eligibility

Open to residents of Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton counties who have a household income at or below 125%-200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
