Eligibility
- First-time homebuyer or has not owned a home in the last three (3) years. - Have a total household income that is less than 80% of the Area Median Income. - Purchase a single-family home in Summit County, but outside the cities of Akron, Barberton, or Cuyahoga Falls. - Be able to qualify for a mortgage. - Be able to complete a HUD-approved first-time homebuyer education class. - Be willing to participate in post-purchase counseling. - Be able to provide a pre-approval letter from a private lending institution. - Purchase price cannot exceed 90% of the appraised value of the home. - Maximum purchase price for a home is $163,000.
