- Schedule online at https://www.loraincountyfreetaxprep.org/ or call 2-1-1 to make an appointment. - For amended returns that United Way of Greater Lorain County did not prepare the original return, the tax filer may call United Way's administrative office and speak to Christine to see if United Way will be able to assist. Beginning Thursday May 1st, 2025: - Call United Way of Greater Lorain County at (440) 277-6530 to schedule a post-tax season or amended return appointment. If no answer, leave a message for a return call to schedule an appointment. - Or visit the website at https://www.loraincountyfreetaxprep.org/ to schedule an appointment.

Eligibility
- Serves individuals and couples that have an earned income and adjusted gross income (AGI) of $65,000 or less during the 2024 tax year. - Both spouses must be present if filing a joint return. - Able to assist with up to $25,000 in Small Business Income. There are some limitations that are beyond the reach of this service such as income from rental property. - Investment income must be $3,500 or less for the year. - Available to assist all taxpayers with IRS correspondence and/or issues even if the return was not originally prepared by our program
