Eligibility

Anyone. Hair can be colored or permed. Hair cut years ago is usable if it has been stored in a ponytail or braid. Highlighted or bleached hair is not usable. Dreadlocks are not accepted. The longest layer of hair must be 10 inches. Additional information can be found on website.

Application process

Website. Mail. Hair must be in a ponytail or braid before it is cut and completely dry before it is mailed. The ponytail or braid must be placed inside a plastic bag and then inside a padded envelope. Packages should be taken to the post office to ensure adequate postage is used. Complete mailing instructions are found on website.
