Eligibility
- Serves low-income residents with cases within Summit County.
- Many 4th and 5th degree felonies can be sealed one (1) year after the completion of the sentence. These same cases can be expunged 11 years after the completion of the sentence.
- Some 3rd degree felonies can be sealed/expunged depending on the rest of an individual’s criminal record. Excludes violent felonies and felony sex offenses.
- Most misdemeanors are eligible for sealing or expungement one (1) year after the end of the sentence. Excludes: 1st and 2nd degree misdemeanor domestic violence, offenses where the victim was under 13 years old, and traffic convictions.
Required documents
- State issued ID or Driver's License.
- Pay stub, if applicable.
- Proof of address.
- Email account information.
- Last four numbers of Social Security number.
- Criminal history.
- Employer information for the last five (5) years.
- Other personal information including three (3) personal references and contact information for three (3) immediate family members.
- Call for other details related to documents needed to apply for a CQE.
