Family resource services offering parenting classes with a parenting coach.
Parenting coach helps to create a plan for overcoming parenting challenges, and improving caregiving effectiveness. On call during emergencies, and will mentor/guide parent through issues.
Parenting classes are provided by those certified to teach the evidence-based Nurturing Parenting Curriculum, designed to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect by reaching families who have come to the attention of Social Services. Offers the following guidelines:
- Age-appropriate expectations
- Emotional regulation
- Dignified system of discipline
- Self-awareness
- Healthy sense of empowerment
- Humor and laughter
- Services are faith-based and LGBTQIA+ inclusive.
