Description

Provides a homeless shelter. All residents will be given the choice to enroll in the Ready For Life program. Ready For Life has been developed to help residents turn their lives around and achieve independence. Those who are in agreement to getting better and changing their lives will craft their own goals and road maps to reach those goals. Cherry Street has numerous partners and programs in place to provide support and services to help the individual achieve those goals. Services could include: temporary housing, meals, basic needs, literacy, GED, vocational training, career training, mentorship, small groups, job placement, mental health care, financial literacy and spiritual care. Potential guests who do not want to participate in the program and do not have a valid reason for refusing to participate (such as a medical need) will not be able to stay that night. They can return at any time, even on the same day, if they change their mind about participating.
