Animal Adoption | Marion Area Humane Society

MAHS does its best to place animals it cares for into new and loving forever homes. Adoption program consists of completing a short adoption application, having a manager go over the application, and then agreeing to our contract. Below are a few requirements of our adoption contract: - All animals must be spayed and/or neutered. - Adopters must be at least 18 years of age. - Renters must show permission from landlord to own pets. - Animals are to be treated humanely and all state laws followed.

The Marion Area Humane Society (MAHS) is a resource for Marion County residents who may need to surrender pet(s) through a safe and secure process until placement is found. MAHS works to educate the public on humane treatment of pets and when funding is available, MAHS assists with costs involved in spaying/neutering to aid in the control of pet overpopulation in the Marion community.
