Prevention, Retention And Contingency (prc) - Employment/education | Geauga County Job And Family Services
Provides vouchers for work related or education related essential services and/or items such as: tools, equipment, uniforms, testing for licenses, job readiness, job/technical training, GED preparation, books, car insurance, and gas/bus fare. May assist with various other needs related to maintaining or gaining employment at the agency's discretion.

*Serves Geauga County households with Income must be 175% of the Federal poverty level or less. *Must have at least one child under the age of 18 (or through age 18 if the child is still in high school) or be pregnant (from conception to delivery). *Applicants must explore other community resources that may meet the current need. *Applicant must be employed, attending approved, accredited training or post-secondary education programs or enrolled in Ohio Means Jobs, Geauga County employment program. *At least one member of the family must be a U.S. citizen or qualified alien. *Assistance varies and may be limited depending on the need. *DOES NOT SERVE fugitive felons, and those who have been convicted of program fraud where repayment has not yet occurred. SANCTIONED PERSONS CAN STILL QUALIFY if applying for PRC within 30 days of the end of the sanction period.
