Description

This tavern and inn was built in 1839. It is owned and operated by the Lagonda Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. It was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 1927.

This Inn and tavern was built from 1838-1939 serving travelers on the National Road during the coach and wagon era. It was also the home of Dr. Isaax Funk, of the Funk & Wagnalls dictionary fame. It is currenly operated by the Lagona Chapter of the DAR.
