Accepts and, where possible, attempts to resolve complaints regarding services or business practices of cable television companies.
Cable service rights include:
- Restored cable service within 72 hours after reporting the problem (unless the problem was caused by a natural disaster).
- 30 days advance written notice before channel is removed.
- 30 days advance written notice prior to a rate increase.
- 10 days advance written notice before service is disconnected.
- In the event of a service disruption caused by the provider, customers who report it to their cable company will receive a day's credit to their bill if the interruption lasts more than four hours in a given day.
- If the customer reports a service interruption not caused by the provider that lasts more than 24 consecutive hours, the customer will receive a credit for each hour of the disruption.
