Application process

Typically an official letter is sent describing the survey for which a household or business has been selected. The Census Bureau may follow up regarding participation in a survey. Follow-up can occur in-person, via mail, or by phone. Visit website for assistance verifying that a survey, mailing, or contact came from the Census Bureau.
