Eligibility

Residents of Cuyahoga County who are sophomores and juniors in high school, ages 15-18.

Required documents

Recommendation by a teacher, guidance counselor, principal or former supervisor grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher high school attendance in previous year high school transcript. Will need an e-mail address to receive information.

Application deadline May 1 of each year internship placements are primarily during June through August.

Description

Provides the opportunity for eligible individuals who want to explore a potential professional career through a 120-hour internship in the career field of their interest. The program includes networking opportunities, mentoring with industry professionals, a paid stipend for participation, training, professional development workshops, and a final career research project. Each internship is tailored to the individual participant. Service includes completion of the Ohio Means Jobs Readiness Seal.
