Link, The - Partners For Youth - Juvenile Delinquency Diversion Counseling | Link, The - Partners For Youth

The Link offers prevention and diversion from juvenile justice and child welfare systems through a single point of contact identifying underlying issues contributing to concerning behavior. Youth who are struggling emotionally, behaviorally, or socially are assessed for indicators of mental health and substance use disorders, issues related to basic needs, history of traumatic experiences, indicators of human trafficking, and other areas of need. Youth identified with mental health and/or substance concerns are referred to a comprehensive assessment with a local mental health agency. Additional supportive community resources are also provided, as needed.

Youth self-referrals, referrals from family, juvenile court, law enforcement, schools, community agencies, then the Service Coordinator will schedule a family intake interview

Youth who appear to be struggling emotionally, behaviorally, or socially in school, at home, or in the community (youth do NOT need to be involved with the courts)Signs a youth may need help include chronic truancy, chronic classroom challenges, substance use, youth running away from home, traumatic experiences, mental health concerns, aggression, family discord, beyond control of parent
