Automobiles (CARS) | Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency

Offers the CARS program. Provides financial counseling along with 2:1 matching funds up to $4000 for the purchase of a car. Program also includes two car inspections and a credit for preventative maintenance. Participants must save a minimum of $1000 for car purchase and $500 for emergency funds within 6-9 months of program enrollment to receive matching funds.

Open to residents of Hamilton County age 18 or older who meet the following requirements:

  • Must be employed
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • At or below 200% Federal Poverty Level
  • Proof of car insurance at time of car purchase
