Taxpayer Assistance Program | Chn Housing Partners
Provides financial assistance up to $10,000 that can be used for the following: Payment of certified delinquent property taxes Payment of late property taxes Payment of current property taxes Payment of foreclosure fees and court costs related to a pre-existing foreclosure Satisfaction of pre-existing tax lien certificates Those who qualify will need to participate in housing counseling services with an established partner agency, including a counseling session, completion of a budget, and demonstration of on-going ability to pay.

Application process
Caller will first need to fill out the CHN Housing Partners Interest Form. The "Interest Form" can be found by visting the website, select "Delinquency" and then select the "Tax Assistance Program." Once the program starts, applicants will be contacted and be sent the information on how to complete the full application. Applications will be processed by CHN Housing Partners on a first-come, first-served basis. May phone the Treasurer's Office M-F: 9:00am-4:00pm for more information.

Eligibility
Must maintain a primary residence in Cuyahoga County with an active certified tax delinquency Be the primary or joint owner Be aged 70 years or greater Have a household income of less than $70,000 per year Establish a delinquent tax payment contract for any remaining delinquency Participate in the Easy Pay installment payment program for future taxes Applicants who have received prior assistance from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency’s Utility Assistance Plus program are not eligible for further assistance under this program. Assistance is available one time per household.
