If you are aware of an individual (child or adult) with disabilities who is being abused or neglected, please report this information as soon immediately to the Emergency On Call 888-905-0787 24/7. Reports may be made anonymously if you choose.

Description

There are many types of abuse and/or neglect that individuals with developmental disabilities may experience. This information is being provided in order to make you aware of how to get help and what to report when a person with developmental disabilities is thought to be involved in incidents that adversely affect their health and safety. These incidents may include but are not be limited to the following: - Physical-physical pain or injury - Verbal-language or gestures that threaten, insult, or show disrespect - Mental-harassing or humiliating - Sexual-inappropriate touching or sexual gratification - Neglect-failure to provide food, medical, or personal care - Violation of Rights-basic client rights are ignored - Misappropriation (theft)-obtaining the property of an individual without consent.
