PHYSICAL FITNESS FOR THOSE WITH PHYSICAL/SENSORY/DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES | MAYFIELD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Provides opportunities for individuals with physical, sensory, or developmental disabilities to participate in social/recreational activities, arts and crafts, and physical fitness programs. Activities may range from games and movie nights to yoga and sports programs. Staff who are trained to work with people who are disabled are sometimes available.

Application process

Call for scheduling or to register when necessary M-F: 9:00am-4:00pm (Mayfield Schools Recreation) or M-F: 8:30am-4:30pm (Mayfield Village Recreation). May also walk in for service at scheduled times. An aide or assistant (parent/caregiver) must be present for one on one assistance for any participant who has difficulty following simple instructions, who needs individual physical patterning or who needs constant guidance.

Some programs have fees. Program fees may be higher for non-residents of facilities located in certain areas.

Serves individuals with physical, sensory(blind, deaf), or developmental disabilities of ages ten-adult. Some activities have a restricted age range. No restrictions on residency. An aide or assistant (parent/caregiver) must be present for one on one assistance for any participant who has difficulty following simple instructions, who needs individual physical patterning or who needs constant guidance
