Application process

Call or walk-in to register for the monthly orientation either at 11:00 am or 5:00 pm. During orientation, registration information is gathered.

$20.00 a month

Offers individual literacy tutoring for adults (reading, writing, spelling, and math). Preparation to enter a GED class. Individual reading tutoring for children. Access to literacy software. Students are scheduled for testing with TABE (Test of Adult Basic Literacy) or the Slossen Oral Reading test. After 50 hours of instruction, students are reassessed where instructional changes may be required. This pattern repeats every 50 hours of instruction. Basic students "graduate" once a particular goal is reached such as a drivers license, GED, etc.
