Eligibility
Serves families of adoptees who are:
- 18, 19, or 20 years old.
- not married.
- not in the military.
- is finishing high school or working on a diploma (like a GED).
- is in college or a trade school.
- is doing a job program or something that helps to get or keep a job.
- is working at least 80 hours each month.
- The adoptive parent still helps the adoptee and can show proof they are responsible for the individual.
- The adoptee’s custody agreement was in effect on or after the child attained the age of 16 or 17.
- The adoptee was in the temporary or permanent custody of an Ohio public children services
Required documents
- The KGAP C21 program application (JFS 00137).
- A copy of the signed KGAP Agreement for KGAP subsidy with the PCSA.
- Documentation the kinship guardianship young adult meets one of the 5 criteria noted above.
- Documentation of kinship caregiver responsibility.
