GOLDEN BUCKEYE PROGRAM | OHIO DEPARTMENT OF AGING
Provides a discount program for Ohio's older adults and permanently disabled residents. Participating businesses provide special offers to cardholders, including a percentage off purchases, flat-rate discounts, free or discounted products and services, and more. Businesses participate voluntarily and set the details of their offers.

Application process
During the month of their 60th birthday, cards will be mailed to Ohio residents who have an Ohio driver's license or a State of Ohio ID card. Those not receiving a card, needing a replacement card, or wanting information may phone M-F: 8:00am-5:00pm or apply in person at most libraries and senior centers. Information also available on the Web site anytime.

All Ohio residents age 60 or older, as well as adult residents age 18-59 who have been certified as having a permanent and total disability.

Administers Older Americans Act programs and services and Medicaid home and community-based waivers serving older Ohioans. Provides oversight to Ohio's 12 area agencies on aging. Also offers direct supportive services to Ohio seniors including the Golden Buckeye Card, the Long-Term Care Ombudsman program, the Staying Connected Service, and the Long-Term Care Consumer Guide. Advocates for funding, policy, and programs that improve the health and well-being of older Ohioans.
