CONNECTIONS DELAWARE COUNTY VOLUNTEER CENTER - SENIOR COMPANION PROGRAM | HELPLINE
The Senior Companion Program provides a volunteer opportunity for low-income individuals age 55 and older to serve one-on-one with individuals age 60+ who could benefit from their companionship. They assist with things such as grocery shopping and transportation to medical appointments. They may do activities such as reminisce, play cards and/or go for walks together. Senior Companions also provide short periods of relief to primary caregivers. Volunteers are paid a stipend and mileage reimbursement.
