Open to vehicle owners who reside in Boone County and have purchased a vehicle outside the state of Kentucky or who will be residing in Boone County and will be bringing a vehicle from outside the state of Kentucky.

Boone County, Kentucky
Provides inspection of vehicles to determine compliance with state law regarding safe condition for operation upon the roadway. Certified inspection officers perform checks of all vehicle safety features, including lights, wipers, horn, turn signals, glass, brakes, etc. Upon passing inspection, vehicle owner will be provided a completed Kentucky Application for Certificate of Title/Registration Form which may be taken to the County Clerk to obtain a Kentucky license plate.
