Buy A Car | Lifeline
Provides assistance with the purchase of a vehicle. Participants set a savings goal toward the purchase. Once the goal is reached, the agency can match the amount up to program cap. Funds can be used to purchase a used car (either in full or as down payment). Clients can use their tax return to meet their savings goal. Eligible participants must complete financial empowerment classes as well as asset training classes. Client is required to open a savings account and deposit scheduled payments. This program can take three months to one year.
