Recruits volunteer groups to prep, plant, and maintain a flower garden on an Akron City public site location of their choosing to control litter and beautify the neighborhood.

Fee

No fee. Volunteer groups donate time and pay for flowers they order. (Group ordering is discounted through nursery.)

Eligibility

- Must be public land with convenient access to a fire hydrant in a safe location (for gardeners) that is visible to the public. - The topography must be suitable for planting. - The volunteer group’s commitment must be for more than one growing season. - The volunteer group must have at least several volunteers with one person agreeing to be the contact person.
