Christmas Programs 2025 | Salvation Army - Portage County
Provides Christmas food baskets for low-income families. Families with children receive gifts as well as the basket. Participation can only be with one (1) church or agency. Organizations will share lists.

- Windham Pantry (for residents of Windom, Garrettsville, Freedom, and Nelson) located at 9005 Wilverne Drive: Tuesday from 10:00am to 3:00pm (unavailable on 4th Tuesday). Deadline to register is Tuesday November 11th,2025. - Ravenna Office (for all other Portage County residents) located at 268 West Main Street: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30am to 3:00pm. Deadline to register is Thursday November 13th, 2025.

Application process
- Visit the Windham Pantry and Ravenna Office during select times (see hours below) with all required documentation. - An application cannot be completed without all documentation and individuals will be asked to return once they have all required documents. - Call the office for more information.

Eligibility
- Serves low-income households (income at 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline Level or lower) residing in Portage County. - Gifts are for families with children age 16 and under (gifts are only for the household with custody of the child). - NOTE: Must not be registered for any other holiday gift program (this agency will share their registration list with other agencies doing Christmas distributions).
