Provides information and referral to participating ophthalmologists in their area who perform a comprehensive medical eye examination and up to one year of treatment for any condition diagnosed at the initial visit, at no out of pocket expense to the patient for the physician's services.Medicare and private insurances are billed, and all co-payments are waived. For seniors with no insurance, the fees are waived.This program does NOT pay for glasses, corrective lenses, prescription drugs, or and charges related to hospital or surgical services.
