Eligibility
Guests must:
-be homeless individuals or families. Those who have current leases are not eligible.
-be their own guardian.
-be 18 or older unless in the custody of family also seeking shelter. No unaccompanied youth can be accommodated.
-not be on the sex offender list in any location.
-be willing to submit to background checks and random drug testing
Due to space limitations, only one parent is able to stay on the family side of the shelter with the children overnight. Other parent is required to stay overnight on the single side.

Hours
Single Adults: 7:00 pm to 6:30 am.
Families: Monday-Friday: 2:00 pm to 6:30 am
Saturday-Sunday: 7:00 pm to 6:30 am.
Reservations made daily 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Doors open at 7:00 pm and guests must arrive no later than 8:00 pm.
Late arrivals must be pre-approved.

Application process
Reservation through 211 required. Reservations can be made daily between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Individual must complete own intake. Clients who are not their own guardian are not eligible for shelter.
Individuals coming from hospital, psychiatric, or nursing care must have prescreening completed by case/care manager, nurse, or social worker. Case Workers should call 440-354-6417 to complete prescreening process.
Guests who leave the shelter will be placed on the "must call list" and will have to speak with staff at the shelter before new intake and/or reservation can be completed with 211.
Individuals with one THERAPY ANIMAL will be accepted: paperwork must be available.

Offers nighttime only shelter to individuals and families facing homelessness.
RULES AND REGULATIONS:
-Searches are conducted at the door each evening.
-All medications, lap tops, cell phones or potential weapons will be collected and locked between 7:00 pm and 6:30 am.
-If any drug paraphernalia is found, person will not be permitted at shelter. This includes medical marijuana and marijuana vape pens.
-Provided: hot evening meal, light breakfast, shower facilities, hygiene items, vouchers for laundry, and storage totes (limited to 2 standard duffle-sized bags) for belongings while at the shelter.
-Maximum stay is generally forty five (45) days. The first night the individual will meet with social worker who will help them set up goals and work on goals.
-Individuals must be their own legal guardian (ineligible even if their legal guardian calls for referral).
-Persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol upon arrival will not be admitted.
-Convicted sexual predators/child victim predators or sexually oriented offenders who have committed an offense against a child cannot be accommodated.

Free transportation to and from shelter is provided via Laketran. Busses are handicapped accessible and have bike racks.
Evening pick up is at Lake County Sheriff's Office, 104 East Erie Street between 6:15 pm and 6:45 pm.
Morning return trip arrives at Project Hope between 6:30 am and 7:00 am for transport to downtown Painesville.
