Licenses and maintains health and safety standards related to the sanitation practices of tobacco retailers, schools, microblading establishments, the city jail, septic systems, public pools and spas, body art facilities, and more. Enforces public health laws and regulations through regular inspections and issuance of citations when appropriate. Also investigates animal bites for the Rabies Control Program.
