Then choose Oberlin EV Carshare or Oberlin Student. - Once qualified, the app functions like a car key fob, unlocking doors to get in. There is no ignition key. - Return the vehicles to the charging stations where they were found.

- Drivers can rent one of two all-electric 2020 Chevrolet Volt cars for a fixed fee of $8 an hour. That includes everything from electricity to insurance and up to 25 miles of driving per hour. There is an additional 36 cents for each additional mile in that same hour. - NOTE: Because insurance is provided, a motor vehicle record check is required to start using Oberlin's carshare service. There is a one-time $12.50 fee to run the MVR check but once approved, one (1) hour of driving credits will be applied to your account.
