Eligibility
Income-eligible families with children ages 3-5. Full day Head Start does require verification of 35 or more hours per week of parent qualifying activities (employment, job training or school).
Required documents
Verification of income for the last 12 months or verification of TANF benefits or confirmation of Foster Parent status. Copy of child's birth certificate. Copy of child's medical insurance card. For full day Head Start, verification of at least 35 hours of qualifying parental activities (employment, job training or school). Pay stub.
Hours
Full day: Mon-Fri 7 AM - 6 PM School Day: Mon-Fri 9 AM - 3 PM (varies by site) Half Day Morning: Tues-Fri 7:45 AM - 11:15 AM Half Day Afternoon: Tues-Fri 12:30 PM - 4 PM
Languages
Spanish, Somali, American Sign Language and any other language translation services as needed, upon request.

Fees
There is no fee for most services, for qualifying families. A fee may apply for full day or school day preschool, or with PFCC (Publicly Funded Child Care) subsidy.

Provides health screenings, meals, educational field trips, cultural experiences and socialization. Provides assessments and referrals to other social service and/or community agencies when needed. Accepts children with disabilities who can be safely managed in the classroom.
