Eligibility

Serves residents of Stark or Tuscarawas County who are considered a dislocated worker or a displaced homemaker OR meet income guidelines (eligibility will be determined at a later date). Individuals must have already decided on a specific type of training.

Description

Provides workforce funding for training to individuals eligible under the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act guidelines. Funding may be available for courses to upgrade skills or for in demand short-term training in areas such as welding, truck driving, CNC machining or various medical training such as LPN, Medical Assisting, and Medical Billing and Coding. Funding is limited and not all eligible applicants will receive funding.
