Offers loans and grants for repair or purchase of homes located in rural areas. Grants and loans may be used for corrections of health and safety issues in the home, including making homes compliant for those with disabilities (ramps, bathroom modification, etc.) and for hooking up to municipal sewer systems (particularly in the wake of changing requirements in communities). Availability may depend on local mortgage credit conditions. Different types of loans are available and some are for specific populations such as older adults, disabled individuals, and farm workers. Grants of up to $7500 are available. Loans available up to $20,000.
