Economic Self Sufficiency Programs (READY TO WORK) | Gateway Community And Technical College

Provides a variety of supportive services for parents who wish to or are currently attending college or GED classes through Gateway. Ready to Work participants receive assistance obtaining employment opportunities that work around school schedules and which do not reduce certain public assistance program benefits. They may also receive assistance with daycare and transportation needs, work clothing and uniforms, and employment skills training.

Eligibility

Open to low-income parents who meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Are currently enrolled at Gateway
  • Are a former Gateway student currently seeking employment
  • Are working with Kentucky Adult Education or on a high school diploma
  • Have a barrier to enrolling at Gateway, such as student debt
