Skilled Trades Employment Program (STEP) | Look Up Center
The STEP program is a 15 week long program teaching the construction and electrical trades. The training includes: 80 hours of core curriculum in construction, cooking classes, personal training, budgeting and understanding money, assigned faith partner, Human Resources classes and soft skills training, safety, various speakers and presentations. Transportation and dinner are provided.

Resident of Licking County, HS Diploma or GED or actively pursuing your GED, drug and substance free for 90 days, have a recommendation letter and/or referral letter, complete STEP application.

The Look Up Center is a non-profit Faith Based Community Center located at 50 O'Bannon Ave. in Newark, Ohio. We are mainly supported by churches, individuals, and volunteers. We seek to bring restoration to the individual, family and the community through our various programs and ministries. All programs offered at the Look Up Center are FREE with the exception of our Opportunity Store, which charges a modest amount for clothing, appliances, household goods, and misc. items. These funds help to support our ministries.
