SAFER SOLUTIONS AND PEACEFUL SOLUTIONS | FAMILY AND COMMUNITY SERVICES

Offers intervention and counseling in a group setting to those who exhibit abusive behavior toward their spouse or partner. Goal is to increase the abuser's ability to use healthy skills in relationships or conflict situations. Anger management is a component of this program. In cases where the individual is court-referred, this service may be issued in lieu of incarceration.

Fixed fee. Also accepts Medicaid and Private Insurance.

Eligibility

Serves those who have exhibited abusive behavior toward their partner or spouse. Safer Solutions is for men. Peaceful Solutions is for women. Program can accommodate those age 12 and over (teens have their own group). Will accept court referred individuals.

Services include hot meals, emergency groceries, shelters for the homeless, emergency housing assistance, services for children, support for victims of domestic violence, veteran’s assistance, community and senior outreach, and full clinical services including counseling, case management, psychiatry and addiction services. Services provided vary by county.
